About Katrina Thompson (SHe/her)
Transform Your Healing Journey Through Art & EMDR

With extensive training in both Art Therapy and EMDR, I bring a unique combination of creative and evidence-based approaches to help clients process trauma and emotional challenges.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I believe in the innate healing capacity within each person and the power of creativity to facilitate transformation.
I hold a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Marylhurst University 2009, am a licensed professional counselor (LPC license # C3733), and trained in EMDR through the EMDR Institute. My specialized training allows me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and healing journey.
In our work together, you’ll find a compassionate, non-judgmental space where all parts of your experience are welcomed and honored.

I offer individual therapy in-person and virtually for adolescents (12+) and adults. Art and EMDR is accessible to all ages who are in need of support.

I provide support for clients who experience PTSD, complex trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, medical illness, or major life transitions.

I’m LGBTQA+ affirming provider and respect diversity in my practice. All cultures, races, abilities, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities are welcome.

Crisis support and medication management not provided. Call 988 for mental health emergencies.
Learn and Grow
Do you need art skills for art therapy?
Absolutely not! Art therapy is about the process, not the product. The focus is on expression, not creating aesthetically pleasing artwork. Many clients who benefit most from art therapy have no prior artistic experience. This modality allows you to express emotions and process experiences through creative mediums. Art therapy provides a non-verbal pathway to healing, particularly beneficial for those who struggle to verbalize their feelings.

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy helps process traumatic memories and distressing experiences, reducing their emotional impact and promoting adaptive resolution.
